Server and application compatibility

• User-defined device names, automatically linked to psuedo-tty (pty) devices
• No predefined limit on pty devices, can use all available (256 on most distributions)
• Server connections with raw TCP/IP, Telnet, or enhanced Telnet (RFC 2217) protocols
• Automatic login with configurable server prompt strings
• Baud-rate limiting to enforce a specified data rate from TTYredirector to a remote device
• Port close delay for port hand-off applications
• Nagle algorithm control to reduce latency for short transmissions and for faster recovery from packet loss
• Server synchronization to prevents data flow until connection to server is fully negotiated
• Automatic reconnect to server if the network connection is interrupted and restored

COM Port Control features

• Automatically negotiated if device server supports Telnet protocol with RFC 2217 options
• Initializes remote port baud rate, framing, parity, flow control, and DTR/RTS state
